How to shop & place an order?

We are here to help you choose the right size with confidence.

All items have a size chart and we also include specific fitting information in the description.

Our garments, especially the tailored ones like jackets, trousers, shirts etc., are designed by Mr. Kraft to have a bespoke-like feel and are cut slim (but not skinny) to provide a fitted silhouette without being tight, thanks to the high armholes and a very nuanced cut. Should you hesitate between 2 sizes or fall between sizes, we recommend that you take the larger size. You may also decide to take a larger size than normal for an easier fit. Please note that all AK MC tailoring is cut on an Italian/European sizing. We provide the most popular, commercial size conversions but please email [email protected] if you require assistance on this or any other matter.

It may be helpful to take body measures or to measure existing items in your wardrobe.

When measuring the body wear little or no clothing.

WaistMeasure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortably loose.
HipsStand with your heels together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.
ChestWrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest or bust, including your shoulder blades, then drop your arms to your sides to measure.
NeckMeasure around the middle of the neck (at the Adam’s apple). Allow room for your index finger to fit between the tape and your neck for a comfortable fit.

When measuring existing items, always use a soft tailoring tape measure.

Jacket/Coat LengthMeasure from the top of the centre back seam to the base of the garment. Do not measure the collar.
Sleeve LengthMeasure from the centre of the cuff to the shoulder.
Half WaistLaying the garment flat, measure from the centre-seam to the edge of the jacket where the waist button is positioned.
Trouser hemLaying the trousers flat, measure the width at the hem.

AK MC Trousers

All AK MC trousers are supplied un-hemmed and require tailoring. We recommend having them fitted rather than comparing to existing pairs as the width of the hem and fit will affect your measure. Wear appropriate footwear and mark or pin where the trousers meet the shoes.

Mr Kraft always wears and recommends 4cm cuff (1 5/8” turn-up)

It is worth the effort to have all AK MC tailoring finished to your exact requirements by a good alterations tailor.

Taking a little effort with AK MC clothing will ensure they look their best for years to come.

All tailored items (e.g., jackets, trousers) and knitted items (e.g. cashmere sweaters) should be only professionally dry-cleaned when absolutely necessary. Between wears, always store your AK MC jacket on the hanger provided with the pockets emptied and the buttons left undone.

Regular brushing with a good quality clothes brush will remove dust particles and a light steaming (e.g. from hanging in the shower room) will banish any creases. Shirts, polos and jeans can be machine washed or professionally laundered as indicated on the care label of each item. Please always consult the care label in each item to verify the best way to care for your product.

Shoes should always be stored with wooden shoe trees inserted. Calf leather should be regularly cleaned, conditioned and polished with quality creams and polishes-choose the colour with care to maintain the antique finish and use a neutral shade if unsure. Suede should be regularly brushed with a suede brush-a light steam (eg. Over a kettle) will remove any small marks. Patent leather can be wiped clean with a damp cloth but the occasional application of a specialist cream will keep the hi-shine finish pristine.

All products of AK MC come from carefully chosen artisanal workshops in Western Europe that employ skilled craftspeople in good working conditions for fair wages. Most of the workshops that produce for AK MC are based in Italy; all tailored garments (jackets, trousers, shirts) are made in specialized small workshops in Southern Italy (Puglia). Other items such as cashmere sweaters and polo shirts are made in Northern Italy (Tuscany and Marche regions). Shoes are produced by an artisan in Portugal, employing the best time-honored production techniques (Blake-stitching and Goodyear construction).

The fabrics chosen are equally carefully sourced, coming from the most reputable mills and fabric houses in the world, usually from Italy. You will find cloths from Vitale Barberis Canonico, Loro Piana and Canclini amongst others.

Many of the cloths in the AK MC collection are milled exclusively in limited quantities.

Returns & exchanges

Should you wish to return your purchase for a refund please email [email protected] , using the subject matter ‘returns’, and quoting your order number in the body of the email, informing us of the reason why you would like to return your order. We will then send you the return documents. Since we produce our items in very limited editions, we are unfortunately unable to reserve items for exchange; thus, if you wish to receive the returned item in another size, we advise you to re-purchase the new article (subject to availability) after having requested a refund for the returned piece. This is the safest and quickest option to ensure that you will get the item that is perfect for you. Once goods have been received, checked and passed the quality control, the refund will be made (to the original payment method) Please note that the processing of the refund may take up to thirty (30) days (as is the industry standard). Goods must be returned within fourteen (14) days from the date that your order has been received, in the original packaging and in original, unworn condition. If fourteen days or more have passed since the date that your order was placed, we will be unable to offer a return & refund.

Clothing

Items should be returned new, unused and with all garment tags still attached. Underwear and customised items are not available for exchanges or refunds.

Shoes

Please return all items, including the dust bag and box. If you are still deciding whether to keep your new shoes, please stand on a carpeted surface when you try them and pay special attention to not mark the soles.

To request a return, please email [email protected], using the subject matter ‘returns’, and quoting your order number in the body of the email, informing us of the reason why you would like to return your order. Goods must be returned within fourteen days from the date that your order is received, in the original packaging and in original condition. If fourteen days have passed since the date that your order was placed, we will be unable to offer a refund or exchange.

Yes. We charge a restocking fee as follows:

€15 in Europe (excluding UK)

€30 for the USA, Canada and UK

€50 for the rest of the world

This fee will be automatically deducted from your refund.

We are not able to refund any local taxes, customs duties and/or related charges paid at checkout and/or upon delivery for deliveries to non-EU countries as these are not charged by (and/or paid to) our company but by/to local governments. Certain countries operate schemes to reclaim such local taxes and/or duties/charges if you return goods and may require a specific application by you to your local government or authority.

We charge a handling fee at checkout and there is an option to have your order sent via the Express service for an extra cost.

Please allow up to 4 weeks for us to receive and process your return. You will receive an email notification upon the completion of return processing. We are not able to issue credit until your return package has been received and processed. We will credit your original form of payment.

Please be aware that items can be held by customs for a longer period and that that this is outside of our control.

You may notice that the values against your returns differ to the original invoice. This is for admin reasons only and does not alter the value of your refund or exchange.

For security reasons, only the original method of payment may be refunded. If you’d like to exchange your gift for another item, please email us at [email protected], using the subject matter “gift exchange”. Exchanged items must be in re-saleable condition (see returns policy).

You can use a different carrier to return the items but in that case the carrier costs will be at your charge, and the liability for the safe return will be with you.

Shipping

The estimated delivery date is 2-3 days for European Union and 5 days for the rest of the world. Please note that delays can occur with customs that are outside of our control.

Once your order ships you will receive an email with tracking information. Your items may arrive sooner than the estimated delivery date. Please also note that the estimated delivery date is not guaranteed as AK MC does not have control over the carrier once the goods have left our warehouse.

When your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email containing tracking information.

The handling fee covers shipping and is as follows:

Express shipping can be ordered at an additional cost (subject to availability)

Since the UK left the European Union, costs for shipping and admin relating from customs has made the UK more akin to the Rest of World despite its geographical location.

Browse our catalogue, select a category or a subcategory from the navigation menu, or click into our selection featured on our homepage.

Once you have selected your product, choose your desired size (if applicable) and add it to your shopping bag by clicking [add to cart] to complete your purchase at a later time.

Once you add the first product to your shopping bag, the quantity of its contents will increase from 0 to 1.

Once you have finished shopping, click on [cart] or [checkout] to be led to the checkout process.

Please note that once you place an order at Alexander Kraft Monte Carlo, there is a limited period of time during which you will be able to cancel or modify your order until it is fully processed. To verify if this option is still available, please email our Customer Service at [email protected].

When you are shopping at alexanderkraft.com and add an item to your bag, it is saved in your Shopping Bag. The Shopping Bag holds products you wish to purchase while you shop. Items you place in your Shopping Bag will remain there until you purchase them. They will remain there even after you leave our site. However, please be aware that holding an item in your shopping bag does not reserve the item and it may become out-of-stock when you checkout.

Important information about payment:
Your credit card will not be charged until your order ships. If you are using a debit or check card for payment, however, the funds will immediately be deducted from your account.

This is a 3- or 4-digit number printed on your card required as an added safeguard for online purchases.

American Express
4-digits; far right on the front of your card.

If your credit card does not show an ID Number, you are not required to enter one.

For the security of transactions, we called on the Société Générale bank and PAYBOX, the leader in secure payment. Your bank details are encrypted on your computer and then transmitted securely to authorization servers where your data is then verified with your bank. This procedure is managed by SSL-128 bit encryption technology, one of the most widely used and effective in the world. During transfers via the Internet, nothing is transmitted in clear on the web. The payment procedure is simplified by saving your bank details securely with our service provider. These data are exclusively processed by Société Générale and PAYBOX.

Yes. All prices displayed at our web store are VAT inclusive if you are purchasing from a European Country. All purchases shipped to a non-EU country will be VAT excluded but can be submitted local taxes, duties and/or charges.

Account information

By creating an account, you can store credit card information for easier and faster checkout, maintain an address book, review your order history and edit billing or shipping information. Shopping will be easier.

You can update and modify your account information by clicking on “edit” in your account. To delete your account, please contact our Customer Service: [email protected].

You can change your password by clicking on “edit” in your account.
If you have forgotten your password, click on “forgot your password”? A new password will be sent to you by email.

Following your purchase, we will send an email confirming the details of your order and the shipping method.

If you have a registered account, it is easy to check the status of your orders. Simply go to View Order History under My Account. From there, click on any order number for complete order details, including the tracking number.

Gifting

We do not currently offer Gift packaging. However, each Alexander Kraft Monte Carlo purchase is sent in a white box with wrapping tissue paper and monogrammed stickers.
